  1. Wow, what a weekend. I've just spent the weekend at The International Living History Fair. Everyone there was extremely supportive and wished me well on my adventure. I am pleased to announce that with their help I managed to raise a further £227.58. A great big Thank You to all the Traders and visitors, But especially I would like to thank the organisers for giving me this opportunity to enlist the support of my fellow re-enactors.

Today, I wore my pikeman's uniform at Southwick Park, home of the Tri-service Military Police. I would like to offer thanks for all those who donated and those who have pledged to do so on-line. With your support £382.16 was raised.

  2. Again, WOW. Today I walked around HMS COLLINGWOOD in all my finery. Strange looks confronted me on nearly every turn of door. I'm pleased to announce though, the most generous contribution made by the staff was £690.88. My wife was also selling H4H merchandise raising a further £198. Belive it or not that makes a very lucky...if your chinese £888.88.

O.K. we added 85 pence to make that figure, couldn't resist.

I take my hat of the staff of HMS COLLINGWOOD, Thank You.

  3. The TORM was a resounding success. I now have offers of accommodation for 25 days out of my planned 71. I'll update my route Blog with a list of areas I'd still like to try and find accommodation in. Either way it is a fantastic response by traders and re-enactors that proves what a truly great and welcoming pasttime re-enactment is.

    Dear Pikeman

What a fantastic thing to do to raise the profile of Help for Heroes. We wish you from Sussex the best weather, all the support you need with accomodation and companions along the way and as few blisters and aches as possible! All the best.
